Gordian III. Æ (9.03 g), AD 238-244. Gadara in Decapolis, CY 303 (AD 239/40). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right. Reverse: Jupiter seated left, holding thunderbolt and scepter, within tetrastyle temple with date (ΓT) in pediment. Spijkerman 90; Rosenberger 91; SNG ANS 1339. Pleasing contrasting earthen patina.
